Farne Islands, Northumberland, September 2018
Usual itinerary for this trip, easy travel up during Friday, meet in the pub to refresh, a good nights sleep and hearty breakfast in the excellent Beach House Hotel in Seahouses and we were all ready for seal time.
Diving was with William Shiels from Glad Tidings out of South Sunderland harbour, five minutes from the hotel. After a twenty minute motor out we started the first dive. Usual weighting issues and sorting out for some but once the diving got underway, as ever, the Farnes never lets us down. The sun shone, visability was good and the seals were everywhere. All the ingredients which make this trip so popular year after year! Two dives on Saturday, kit stays on the boat and the skipper takes care of air fills, couldn`t be more convenient and easy.
Saturday nights entertainment was a fantastic Italian meal at Inseime. Great food & service everytime; and of course reliving the days diving.
Sunday morning saw ropes off at 9.30am with another gloriously sunny day. The seals were still playful and plentiful and most people managed another two great dives. Seaside fish and chips before setting off for home, rounded off another awesome Diveworld weekend.
Please check out our website video gallery for all three parts of the weekends videos.
Thanks to everyone for making this another great weekend of UK diving.
