A Training Course like no other! PADI Rescue Diver, hardcore fun.
We have just returned from our first PADI Rescue Diver weekend, since the lockdown, at Capernwray dive site. And what an amazing weekend it was!
The PADI Rescue Diver course is without doubt one of the most challenging and rewarding scuba courses there is, under normal circumstances. With the added complications that Covid 19 throws into the equation, our candidates had their hands full.
Our five course participants "Georgeous" George "Dead" Burling, Dean "Mr Sainsbury" Thorlby, Andy "who needs a mouthpiece" Brown, Gavish "I`ve got the DDRC number and I`m gonna use it" Munbauhal and Matt "didn`t realise I could bend that way" Redfern, all handled the extra stresses admirably.
Watching the group gel into a cohesive rescue squad was a real pleasure, not letting any mistakes or struggles get to them and supporting each other throughout. The beer on Saturday night helped too.
Using our Deluxe Rescue package enabled all our new PADI Rescue Divers to come away with well rounded skills in Emergency First Aid (EFR), Emergency Oxygen Provision and full Rescue capabilities.
Not only a superb performance from all five guys, great skill practice for our dive team support, Chris Brown and John Deal, thanks for the great acting skills too of course. All five of our Rescue Divers are now eligible for PADI Master Scuba Diver too, after all the hard training the accolades keep flooding in! Congratulations to all.
