Discover Mermaid with DIVEWORLD

Who should take this experience?

Ever wondered if mermaids are real? Experience the mermaid life yourself with a pool experience led by our very own mermaid pod. This unique, relaxed and easy programme allows you to discover what mermaid activities are available and if they are for you.

To enroll in our Try Mermaid you must be 6 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and be in good physical health. No prior experience is needed.

What will I Learn?

The Discover Mermaid (tm) experience introduces simple mermaid activities in confined water ( a pool of place with pool like conditions), and shallow enough to stand. The programme is designed as a flexible, informative, safe, controlled experience giving you the chance to discover what being a mermaid is like.

• After signing up you will listen to a briefing from our PADI Mermaid Instructor to learn the basics of being a mermaid.
• A shallow water session in which you will wear a mermaid tail, and maybe additional mermaid costuming, followed by mermaid swimming, going underwater and mermaid games.

What freediving gear will you use?

In the Try Mermaid programme, you learn to use a monofin and mermaid tail, mask, snorkel and fins, and may also use a wetsuit and weight belt. Using gear designed specifically for mermaiding is best, however, in this programme, you may be able to use snorkeling equipment you already own, it will be provided if not.
