If you've participated in a Discover Scuba Diving experience , the skills you learned may be credited towards a portion of the full PADI Open Water Diver course certification.
The fun part about this course is...well, just about all of it because learning to dive is incredible. You breathe underwater for the first time (something you'll never forget) and learn what you need to know to become a certified diver. During the course, you'll make at least five pool dives and four dives at local dive sites under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.
In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use and get comfortable wearing basic scuba gear including a dive computer, and standard accessories. The equipment you wear will be chosen by a DIVEWORLD professional and we have junior sizes to ensure everything is comfortable throughout the course. We advise to add the PADI Dry Suit Specialty to the basic course to increase you comfort while training?
Adding the PADI Dry Suit certification at the same time as PADI Open Water? Dive dry and warmer and gain valuable extra skills during your course adds just £130 to the cost of the basic course.
PADI offers a variety of home-study materials for the Open Water Diver course - traditional manual and DVD package. Recently PADI has enhanced this program by offering the learning material in an E-learning environment via the internet and offline on a tablet, you choose which method suits your learning style. We run a complete course each month throughout the year.
