Absorb the mermaid life fully led by our very own mermaid pod- Aquatic Mermaids. This unique course gives you the chance to further develop mermaid skills and experience the fun of mermaiding. The course develops mermaid skills to become an underwater expressive art form, totally seperate and different to other diving disciplines. This course enhances & mentors Mermaid skills to an elite level.
To enroll in the PADI Advanced Mermaid course you must be 12 years old or older. You need to be capable of swimming at least 50 metres without swim aids, be capable of floating comfortably on the surface for at least 5 minutes and be in good physical health. No prior experience is needed.
The PADI Advanced Mermaid course consists of further knowledge development which supports at least two confined water (pool) skill development sessions. The course will cover the background and culture, primary safety considerations, equipment and basic water skills of mermaid diving. The course has two phases:
Further open water sessions taking mermaiding to another level. Two open watersessions are included.

What equipment will you use?
In the PADI Advanced Mermaid course, you will use a monofin and mermaid tail, mask, snorkel and fins, and may also use a wetsuit and weight belt. Using gear designed specifically for mermaiding is best, however, in this programme, you may be able to use snorkeling equipment you already own, it will be provided if not. Freediving equipment is usually suitable for mermaiding too.
