Plymouth Wreck weekend. 12th-15th August 2021 £75 deposit, full price to be confirmed, call us to book. Wrecks £275, Shark day £150 (plus extra night at £49, subject to minimum numbers)
Enjoy two days of wreck, wreck, wreck. with the added optional bonus of a day scouting for Blue Sharks. Superb wreck diving, easily accessible from Mountbatten, with our annual Plymouth Wreck & Shark tour.
We will be hosted by In-Deep, off Seeker, a superbly appointed and equipped, specialty dive boat with rear diver lift for easy return after the dive. Skipper James and his crew always go the extra mile with hot drinks and a lunchtime pasty onboard (restrictions permitting). There is a roomy wc too. Diving is a two dive trip out each day, so a spare tank is required (available from us). Diving is at Advanced Open Water depths of around 30m, and the usual UK sea conditions. DSMB use is a requirement so please ask if you need assistance with this, full training is available. Dry Suit is recommended. A torch will increase your enjoyment of the wrecks many fold too. Covid restrictions may still be in place so we are limiting the trip to 12 places at the moment. The shark day on Friday is a snorkelling experience never to be forgotten.
There is a good choice of wrecks with HMS Scylla and SS James Egan Layne the usual first day staples. The second day choices are open to the group to decide but Persier, Rosehill, Elk, Glen Strathallan and Maine have been popular choices in the past. Also a chance to some reef dives by agreement with In-Deep, dependant on weather & tides.
Blue Shark Trip – Friday 13th August
Max of 8 people -this is an additional £150 per person, and an extra nights accommodation with breakfast would be £49pp. Snorkelling, not diving, sharks are probable, but there are no guarantees of sightings.
Kit hire is available from us, as are extra cylinders if required. Air fills are convenient at the In-Deep centre behind Mountbatten. Guided dives are available if required, just let us know.
£75 deposit secures your place on this ever popular trip.
